Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. If you are not using parchment paper, spray the baking sheet lightly with cooking spray.
Wash and remove the seeds from the jalapeno. Then slice them into thin pieces about 1 inch long and place them in a small bowl.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the dough into 9 triangles. Cut each dough triangle into three equal strips.
Begin assembling the poppers. Add about 1 tsp of cream cheese, a jalapeno pepper segment, and a little smokey on the thickest part of the dough. Roll the dough and place on the prepared baking sheets.
Repeat with remaining dough, cream cheese, jalapenos, and smokey.
Brush the melted butter over the tops of each and lightly sprinkle Montreal Chicken seasoning over each. Bake for 9 - 12 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.
Notes
When you remove the seeds from the jalapeno, most of the heat from the pepper will be gone. If you worry your kids won't like the jalapeno, leave them out.
