Cheesy Bacon Dip is the perfect game day appetizer! This recipe is served warm in a bread bowl and can be served with tortilla chips, french bread, your favorite crackers or even vegetables. Impress your guests with one of the best dips you'll ever make.

I should probably warn you, though, it tends to be one of those dishes that people start to request as soon as you RSVP. Yes, it’s that good!

BACON PARTY

Every year, we go to a bacon party. The bacon party is where everyone brings some sort of a bacon dish.

This is my go-to for the party every year. I consider this a hot dip, but I promise they'll keep eating even if it gets the chance to become room temperature.

This tasty cheesy bacon dip recipe is a huge crowd pleaser. You'll want to be prepared to share this bacon appetizer recipe!

This also makes an incredible dip for tailgating or game day snacks!

WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RECIPE

  1. It has lots of bacon.
  2. Everybody loves bacon.
  3. It’s a super easy bacon appetizer.
  4. It can be served at all your holiday parties.
  5. The dip is very impressive served in a pretty bread bowl.
  6. It has bacon. (It's worth saying again!)

WHAT TO SERVE WITH CHEESY BACON DIP RECIPE

Another reason this appetizer is fantastic is there are so many options you have to serve with the dip. This is especially helpful if it's something you decide to make last minute. You can use potato chips, tortilla chips, bread, pita bread, baguette slices, buttery crackers, bagel chips or vegetables.

PRO-TIP FOR MAKING BACON DIP

Microwave the dip in the bread bowl without the lid for 5 minutes to speed up the process. Then bake for 30 minutes with the bread bowl lid.

This dip requires more than just the bread inside the bowl. There won't be enough bread, so grab your favorite crackers, baguette slices or even vegetables to serve with the dip.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE A BREAD BOWL

Cheesy Bacon Dip is so impressive served in a bread bowl and the bowl tastes really good once the dip soaks in, but what if you don't have a bread bowl or couldn't find one? No worries! I've made this dip many times without one. Place the dip in a casserole dish and bake for 30 minutes uncovered. You can then serve it with chips, bread, baguette slices, crackers or vegetables on a pretty platter.

This dip is actually a low-carb appetizer recipe, as long as you serve it with vegetables.

INGREDIENTS

There are five simple ingredients that you need for this recipe and a couple that are optional.

  1. Bacon - Crispy bacon is best.
  2. Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheese - Usually, I recommend that you grate your own cheeses, but the pre-grated cheese works great for this recipe.
  3. Garlic - I usually mince the garlic for this recipe.
  4. Mayonnaise - When making dip, use full-fat mayonnaise.
  5. Onion -White or yellow.
  6. Optional Sliced Green Onions - Sprinkle over the top of the dip when it comes out of the oven.
