Make the strawberry puree. Add 4 cups of strawberries, ¼ cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth.
Make the simple syrup. Add equal parts sugar and water to a saucepan. Bring the sugar mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved. It should take about 5 - 7 minutes.
Prepare the margarita glasses. Using a lime, wet the rim of the glass. Immediately after wetting the rim, gently place it onto the plate with salt. Tilt and rotate the glass, pressing the rim into the salt to allow it to adhere.
Make the margarita. To a cocktail shaker, add pureed strawberries, tequila, orange liqueur, four jalapeno rounds, and simple syrup. Shake or stir until well combined.
Enjoy! Pour the margarita into the prepared salt-rimmed glasses. Garnish with strawberries and extra jalapenos.
