Asian Meatballs

Asian Turkey Meatballs are an easy to make meatball that is baked in just 15 minutes and tossed in a delicious homemade Asian sauce. Try this recipe for your next family dinner or they are perfect for a appetizer at your next big or small event!

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1/4 -1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 cup Diced Red Bell Peppers
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce
  • 1/8 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • Green Onion and Sesame Seeds Garnish

Instructions

Meatballs

  • Preheat oven to 400° degrees.
  • In a large bowl combine, ground turkey, egg, Panko bread crumbs, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, diced red bell peppers, salt, and pepper.
    1 lb Ground Turkey, 1 Egg, 1 cup Panko Bread Crumbs, 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce, 1/4 -1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes, 1 tsp Sesame Oil, 1/4 cup Diced Red Bell Peppers, 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Mix ingredients until well combined.
  • Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray or use parchment paper to keep the meatballs from sticking.
  • Roll the mixture into 15 - 20 meatballs (depending on size) and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes turning once halfway through.
  • While the meatballs are cooking, prepare the sauce.

Sauce

  • In a medium size saucepan, combine Hoisin sauce, rice wine vinegar, ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes.
    1 tsp Sesame Oil, 1/4 cup Hoisin Sauce, 1/8 cup Rice Wine Vinegar, 1 tsp Ginger, 2 cloves Garlic, 1/2 cup Soy Sauce, 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes, 1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • Over medium-heat simmer the sauce for 5 minutes stirring constantly.
  • Remove sauce from heat.
  • Coat each meatball in the sauce. Serve extra sauce with meatballs.
  • Garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
