1 cup Craisins, 1 1/2 Tablespoon Maple Syrup, Zest from one Orange, 1/2 cup Orange Juice, 1 cup Water, 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Once boiling, reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered for 8-10 minutes. The craisins will become plump and soft.
  • Carefully blend into a smooth sauce using a blender or an immersion hand blender. The sauce will thicken as it cools.
  • Refrigerate before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe uses sweetened dried cranberries. If you prefer a more tart sauce, you can use unsweetened.
  • If you don't have maple syrup, you can use brown sugar or and adjust the amount of sugar to your liking.
  • Instead of a blender to puree this delicious cranberry sauce you can use a food processor.
  • Make a double batch, and use a medium saucepan so you have leftovers to freeze for another day.
