  • 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • 8 ounce Penne Pasta

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to the package instructions.
    8 ounce Penne Pasta
  • Add the butter to a Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pot and saute bell peppers and onions. Once the vegetables have softened add in the garlic and cook until it is fragrant. Add jerk seasoning to onions and peppers.
1/4 cup Butter, 1 small Onion, 1 small Red Bell Pepper, 1 small Green Bell Pepper, 1 small Yellow Bell Pepper, 1 clove Garlic, 1-2 Tablespoon Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
  • Add heavy cream and simmer for 3 - 5 minutes until the liquid begins to thicken. Do not bring to a boil. Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream, 1 cup Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Toss hot pasta into the sauce, garnish with red pepper flakes and fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Toss in your favorite fresh herbs for more flavor. Fresh basil, parley or oregano are great options.
  • Make it gluten free by substituting your favorite kind of gluten-free pasta.
  • If you are worried the Caribbean seasonings won't go over well with the kids, portion some of the sauce and add the jerk seasoning at the end.
