Caramelized Onion and Bacon Quiche

Caramelized onion and bacon quiche is a savory dish made from eggs, bacon, white cheddar cheese, and thyme, baked in a deep dish pie crust.

Simple ingredients create a delicious easy quiche.

Step 1: Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and sauté for 5 minutes or until they begin to soften. Step 2: Reduce the heat to medium low and cook for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring often, or until the onions are very soft and golden brown.

Step 3: In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, evaporated milk, thyme, salt, and pepper; set aside.

Step 4: To the bottom of the deep dish pie crust, layer bacon, the sweet caramelized onion mixture and grated cheese.

Step 5: Pour egg mixture into pie dough. Gently give the ingredients a gentle  stir with a fork.

Step 6: Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting into wedges.
