INGREDIENTS AND VARIATIONS

HOW TO MAKE JALAPENO PIGS IN A BLANKET

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. If you are not using parchment paper, spray the baking sheet lightly with cooking spray.

Step 2: Wash and remove the seeds from the jalapeno. Then slice them into thin pieces about 1 inch long and place them in a small bowl.

Step 3: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate the dough into nine triangles. Cut each dough triangle into three equal strips.

Step 4: Begin assembling the poppers. Add about 1 tsp of cream cheese, a jalapeno pepper segment, and a little smokey to the thickest part of the dough. Roll the dough and place it on the prepared baking sheets.

Step 5: Repeat with remaining dough, cream cheese, jalapenos, and smokey.

Step 6: Brush melted butter over the tops of each popper and lightly sprinkle with Montreal chicken seasoning over each.

Step 7: Bake for 9 - 12 minutes or until the crescent dough is golden brown.
