Salsa Cream Cheese Dip is an easy, crowd-pleasing favorite made with just 5 simple ingredients—including cottage cheese for a boost of protein and extra creaminess. Serve it warm or cold—either way, it’s creamy, flavorful, and totally addictive.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese Softened
  • 4 ounces Cottage Cheese
  • 1 cup Salsa
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese

Instructions
 

  • Blend cottage cheese and softened cream cheese in a blender or food processor until smooth. Spread evenly over the bottom of a pan or serving plate.
    4 ounces Cream Cheese, 4 ounces Cottage Cheese
  • Spread salsa evenly on top of the cream cheese mixture.
    1 cup Salsa
  • Top the salsa with both cheddar and Monterey jack cheese.
    1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese, 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • Serve immediately with tortilla chips or chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • It's best to start with softened cream cheese.
  • I prefer an equal mix of cream cheese and cottage cheese, but you can use all cream cheese if you like. In this case, I recommend spreading the ingredients out over a pizza pan so that the cream cheese is not too strong. Add extra salsa as needed.
  • Serve tortilla chips, bagel chips, Fritos, or vegetables.
  • If you plan to bake the dip, be sure to grate the cheese instead of buying prepacked cheese. You'll get a much better melt!
