Cranberry Simple Syrup

Cranberry Simple Syrup can be added to gin and tonics, vodka sodas, or holiday punches (to name a few ways). It's also delicious served over ice cream and pancakes!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb. Cranberries
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice optional
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • To a small sauce pan, add cranberries, granulated sugar, fresh lemon juice and water.

  • Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Strain through a fine mesh strainer and press the cranberries with the back of a spoon to help them release all the juices.
  • Pour the syrup into an airtight container.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
