Fresh Squeezed Lemonade - Homemade

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice About 6 - 7 large lemons
  • 7 cups Cold Water Divided
  • 1-2 Lemons Optional Garnish

Instructions
 

  • Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a sauce pan over medium heat. Bring liquid to a boil and stir until sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and cool.
  • Juice lemons into a measuring cup. Once you have 1 cup of juice, strain any seeds.
  • Combine 6 cups water, the sugar mixture and lemon juice into a pitcher.
  • Mix until well combined. Serve over ice with a lemon wedge for garnish.

Notes

Recipe Tips:
If you would like to make less than a full pitcher, be sure to use equal parts sugar and water when making the simple syrup.
Use step 1 only to make a great simple syrup recipe that can be used in all kinds of different cocktails and mocktails.
Add fresh herbs like mint or basil to add additional flavor.
