Cooking Up Memories

Five Delicious Thanksgiving Recipes

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year. It's a day to spend with family and friends, a day to be grateful for our many blessings and it's also a day that brings us around the dinner table to share a delicious meal!

HERE I SHARE 5 OF MY FAVORITE THANKSGIVING DISHES

TRADITIONAL DEVIL EGGS FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER

Traditional Devil Eggs are made with just a few ingredients, making them creamy, irresistible and delicious. Although, this bite size egg is not just for big family dinners, it's always on the menu for Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter celebrations. Be sure to make enough in case family members sneak one or two before dinner is served.

BRUSSELS SPROUTS WITH BACON ARE ON THE MENU

Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Bacon are roasted tender with onions, sprinkled with crisp bacon and then drizzled with a honey Dijon dressing. Brussels sprouts have become super popular for holiday dinner in the past few years. Surprise your family and try something new.

MASHED SWEET POTATOES

Mashed Sweet Potatoes are made in one pot with just 7 ingredients including cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecans. These potatoes are a must have on the Thanksgiving table.

BROCCOLI CAULIFLOWER SALAD WITH BACON

Broccoli Cauliflower Salad with Bacon has broccoli, cauliflower, red grapes and bacon in a light creamy dressing. This recipe has been passed down from my mother-in-law and it's the most desired cold salad on the holiday menu. Make extra to go with leftover turkey sandwiches!

PUMPKIN PECAN COOKIES

Don't forget dessert! These Pumpkin Pecan Cookies are a soft, cake-like cookie that is made with pumpkin puree, butter and lots of pecans. We love this cookie with buttercream icing and a sprinkle of chopped pecans. Although you still might want pumpkin pie, this pumpkin cookie will certainly get the attention of all your guests!

WHAT TO DO WITH LEFTOVER TURKEY

Substitute leftover turkey for the chicken in this Ranch Bacon Chicken Pasta recipe.

Cheers to a safe and happy holiday season!
