Easy Honey Lime Berry Fruit Salad

Fresh berries, watermelon, and pineapple tossed in a simple honey lime dressing make this Honey Lime Berry Fruit Salad one of my favorite summer side dishes.
It’s the kind of recipe that’s easy enough for a weeknight but pretty enough to take to a cookout, brunch, baby shower, or neighborhood gathering. It pairs well with everything from grilled burgers and BBQ chicken to sausage quiche and breakfast sausage casseroles, making it one of the most versatile dishes on my summer menu.
Best of all, it comes together in about 15 minutes with simple ingredients you can easily find at any grocery store.

I first made this fruit salad for a tennis get-together, and it was a hit. In fact, one of my friends called me the next day asking for the recipe, and I had to tell her it wasn’t on the blog yet.
I originally tossed in some raspberries, too, but they didn’t hold up well once everything was mixed together. They’re just a little too delicate for this kind of fruit salad. The blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple, and watermelon all held up much better.
The ingredient I ended up loving most was the fresh mint. I have several varieties growing in my garden right now, including a strawberry mint that smells amazing. The mint gives the fruit salad a fresh flavor that makes you keep going back for another bite. When combined with honey and lime, it turns a simple bowl of fruit into something people actually talk about.

Recipe Notes
- Fresh mint – Don’t skip it. The mint is what makes this fruit salad special. If you don’t have mint, fresh basil is also delicious.
- Choose sturdy fruit – Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, grapes, apples, and mandarin oranges all work well because they hold up after the salad is tossed.
- Make it your own – The exact fruit isn’t as important as the combination of fresh fruit, honey, lime, and herbs. Feel free to use what you have on hand and adjust the amounts based on what needs to be used up.
- This fruit salad is best the day it’s made.
- Cut the fruit into similar-sized pieces. Not only does it look prettier, but it also makes it easier to get a little bit of everything in each bite.

Step 1: Wash and prepare the fruit. Slice the strawberries and cut the watermelon and pineapple into bite-sized pieces. Add all fruit to a large serving bowl.

Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lime zest, lime juice, and chopped mint.
