Banana Strawberry Shake Ingredients

Ingredients to make Strawberry banana milkshakes.

Oops, I forgot the milk in this picture! You’re going to need milk!

Strawberries: You can use fresh or frozen fruit.

Milk: The milk helps turn the mixture into a smooth, shake-like consistency.

Banana: This is a strawberry banana shake, but feel free to skip the banana and still enjoy this delicious treat!

Ice Cream: I used vanilla ice cream and let the strawberries shine with their flavor, but you can simplify it by using strawberry ice cream and milk for an easy two-ingredient milkshake.

Let’s make a strawberry banana shake

Step 1: Add ice cream, milk, strawberries and banana to a blender. Pulse until smooth.

Step 2: Serve with whipped cream and sprinkles.

Tips for making the perfect strawberry banana milkshake:

Use Frozen Strawberries: Frozen fruit gives the milkshake a thick, creamy texture.

Ripe Bananas: Use ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor. I’ll often use frozen banana because it makes a thicker shake.

High-Quality Ice Cream: Choose a good quality vanilla ice cream for a creamier and richer milkshake.

Adjust Consistency: If the shake is too thick, add more milk a little at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

Serve Immediately: For the best taste and texture, serve your milkshakes right after blending.

Add More Flavor: Try adding a splash of vanilla extract.

Top It Off: Add whipped cream, sprinkles, or a cherry or strawberry on top for a fun and festive touch.

Clean Your Blender: Rinse the blender immediately after use to make cleaning easier.

Storage

Pour any leftover milkshake into an airtight container and store it in the freezer. When you’re ready to enjoy it, let the shake sit on the countertop until it reaches your desired consistency. You can add a little milk to loosen up the texture if needed.
