Blueberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktail

Sharing is caring!

Hosting a get-together? Blueberry Lemonade Vodka Cocktails are the perfect way to add a little something special to the menu! They’re refreshing, vibrant, and just the right balance of tart lemonade, sweet blueberries, and smooth vodka—basically, summer in a glass.

I learned from Ina Garten that every gathering needs a signature drink, whether it’s happy hour, a dinner party, or a laid-back backyard BBQ. This cocktail is easy to make, looks stunning in a pitcher, and can even be served as a mocktail for a booze-free option. Don’t forget the extra blueberries for garnish and a sprig of fresh mint—it adds that extra touch that makes every sip feel fancy.

While making homemade lemonade for the kids, I started brainstorming a fun, grown-up twist for Friday night’s get-together. When I spotted fresh blueberries on sale, it hit me—why not blend them into a refreshing blueberry lemonade cocktail with a splash of vodka? The result? Bright, fruity, and dangerously good. Bonus: the blueberry purée comes together in less than 5 minutes in the blender, so it’s easy-peasy (or should I say, easy-blueberry?).

Oh, and if you love a good cocktail, you’ve got to try my Tequila Gimlet—who knew I was such a tequila girl?! If you’re looking for more drink inspo, check out all my cocktail recipes.

Blueberry Vodka Lemonade Recipe Ingredients

Ingredients to make a blueberry lemonade cocktail.
  • 5-Minute Blueberry Puree – I say make it yourself, it’s super easy, but I have seen blueberry puree at the grocery store over by the ice cream toppings.
  • Vodka – I don’t recommend flavored vodka.
  • Garnish – With a fresh lemon slices, blueberries, and sprig of fresh mint leaves.
  • Optional – Add 1/2 ounce of blueberry simple syrup if you like a sweet drink.

What is blueberry puree?

Blueberry purée is a smooth, blended mixture made from fresh or frozen blueberries, perfect for adding a burst of fruity flavor to drinks, desserts, and more. Simply toss the berries into a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If using frozen blueberries, be sure to thaw them first—otherwise, you’ll end up with more of a slushy texture instead of a silky purée.

How to make a blueberry vodka lemonade

Step 1: Make the blueberry puree. Add 2 cups of fresh blueberries, 1/8 cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Store leftover puree in a mason jar for up to 4 days in the refrigerator. Add lemon juice or water if the puree becomes too thick. Frozen blueberries can be substituted for fresh.

Step 2: Mix the cocktail. Add pureed blueberries, vodka, lemonade, and a mint sprig to a cocktail shaker. Shake or stir until well combined.

Step 3: Garnish. Pour the cocktail over ice and garnish with lemon, blueberries, and mint.
