Honey Bourbon Baked Wings start with a smokey BBQ Spice Rub and finish with a sweet bourbon sauce. These wings are sticky, boozy and downright delicious.

My husband and I adore chicken wings. Honey Bourbon Wings with a simple salad make a light, satisfying dinner. Plus, because they are baked, they are easy to make and much healthier than a fried wing.
We make my Oven Baked Hot Wings all the time too. I use the same baking technique on both styles of BBQ Wings and they come out perfect every time.

HOW TO MAKE HONEY BOURBON CHICKEN WINGS
BBQ Spice Rub
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. This spice rub can be used on pork, beef or even fish.

Bourbon Sauce - Make sauce while the wings are baking.
- Add brown sugar, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, mustard, bourbon, corn starch and garlic to a saucepan and simmer for 10 minutes. Stirring often.
- Remove from the heat and set aside.
Wings
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- Place rinsed and dried chicken wings in large bowl. If you start with a dry wing, you will get a crispier skin.
- Add olive oil and BBQ Spice Rub to the wings. Mix until each wing is coated well.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. This will make clean up so much easier!
- Place chicken wings on baking sheet in a single layer, evenly spaced, not touching one another.
- Sprinkle more rub as needed.
- Bake for 40 minutes turning at the halfway mark.
- Dip each wing in Bourbon sauce and return to baking sheet.
- Bake for an additional 5 - 10 minutes until sauce begins to caramelize and set.
- Serve with extra sauce for dipping.

These wings were sooooo good. The seasoning was great - just the right amount of spice. The caramelized glaze with the hint of bourbon was so yummy and the chicken pulled right off the bone when you ate them. Will definitely be making these again whether it's a football night or not! 🙂

I'm so glad you enjoyed the wings. I have used the rub and sauce on pork tenderloin and my family loved it. Thank you so much for taking a moment to rate and comment, it is truly appreciated!
