TIPS FOR MAKING EVERYTHING COOKIES
- Use a cookie scoop to ensure the cookies are uniform in size. At Christmas time I like to make small cookies, but for other occasions I use a ice cream scoop and make large cookies.
- Change up the sprinkles for different holidays or occasions.
- Be sure to scrape the sides of the bowl during each step of the directions.
- Use either an electric mixer or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment for the best results.
- Start with room temperature butter.
- For a chewy cookie that is soft in the middle bake for 12 minutes.
- For a crispier cookie bake for 12-15 minutes depending upon your oven. Watch them closely!

WHAT OTHER INGREDIENTS CAN BE ADDED:
Favorite Mix-ins include:
- All kinds of nuts. Walnuts, sunflower seeds, or you could even try pumpkin seeds.
- Milk chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, butterscotch chips, white chocolate chips and toffee bits are great options.
- Try pretzel bits if you want to add a little bit of salt to go with the sweetness of the cookie.
This cookie recipe is really forgiving so you can actually try a few different options and see what you like best.

You say baking soda ,in most place’s, but in the ingredients you list baking powder. So what one do we use? Thankyou
Jill
Sorry for the confusion Carol. The recipe calls for baking soda. I've fixed the error.
Joy
Sprinkles are not mentioned in the ingredients. How much should I add?
I can't wait to try them, they sound YUMMY!!
Jill
Oops! I add 1/4 - 1/3 cup of sprinkles. They are optional, but I think they make the cookies so pretty!
